One of the coolest restaurants in the French Quarter just got a whole lot cooler. Palm&Pine‘s purveyors (and chefs) Jordan and Amarys Herndon have tapped the talented Kimberly Patton-Bragg to rule the Pine Bar.
Patton-Bragg, appropriately dubbed the “cocktail queen,” has reigned behind the stick at local spots like Three Muses, The Swizzle Stick, Latitude 29, and Justine. She’s accrued accolades-a-plenty including “Mixologist of the Year” by New Orleans Magazine and an honored member of the “Secret Order of the Sazerac” at Tales of the Cocktail.
“I am very excited to join Palm&Pine in this new role as Beverage Director,” says Kimberly Patton-Bragg. “I have always been restaurant specific and this particular place, and more importantly, the people in it, are a great source of inspiration and comfort. I try to keep the cocktails to honor the menu with a sense of humor and continuing quality.”
Harmonizing with the Herndon’s Latin-influenced flavors, Patton-Bragg offers adventures like a Flight to Lima made with Oro Pisco Torontel, lemongrass syrup, egg whites, fresh lime and Thai spice bitters; or the exotic El Grito de Delores with roasted poblano-infused mezcal, Montenegro, Curaçao, and fresh pineapple and lime.
Next Friday, November 5th Palm&Pine is re-launching their Late Nite Burlesque with Bella Blue. In concert with the performances, Patton-Bragg will be offering a sexy, secret menu of lewd libations by-request-only . . . there’s only one way to find out what those creative cocktails will be!
You don’t have to wait for a special occasion to delight in KPB’s craft-astic skills, as the Pine Bar regularly offers two happy hours — from 5:30-6:30pm and late nite from 11pm to 1am — not to mention the restaurant’s regular dinner hours Thursday through Monday.
